Fela Never wore pants on Stage, Please Tell burna Boy
Son of Afro-beat Legend Fela Kuti, Seun Kuti has spoken out about the pant stunt pulled by Burnaboy on stage at the just concluded Felabration (A week long celebration of musical performances in honour of Fela).
He made his comment on his BBM update saying " Nna na wa o. I am bald for christ sake and fela never wore pants on stage. Tell burna that!! "
While we are still not certain on where Burnaboy got this inspiration from, this is the second time a member of the Fela family has slammed a pant- wearing stunt, as Dede, a protege of Fela also criticised an artist trying to depict Fela in pants on stage.

ReplyDeleteYeah I remember way back during the first west africa idols auditions,Dede fell short of slapping a boy who came to audition and stripped to his panties wth plenty of big chains around his neck and body. It was a huge laugh.

ReplyDeleteBut I've seen a video where Fela whore a white underpant,but not with a chain like d Nigerian idol guy did. I don't think Seun and his brother took their time to check before saying this. Maybe they should talk about being ashamed of seeing ppl show dis side of their late father. Fela wouldn't have objected this if he was still alive.
